The AEROPRESS™ Coffee Maker by Aerobie is a take on old methods to make coffee which just works. It's similar to a french press coffee machine but upside down and without the difficult clean up - the tube fits so well the maker is easy to clean - simply pop the coffee puck into the bin together with the filter paper and rinse everything under water!

While it doesn't quite make espresso, it makes a mighty fine cup of pressed coffee delivering the cleanest cup I've ever tasted. A truly innovative handheld, travel coffee maker - compact, small and packs a punch. It has even been labelled the best home coffee maker by some critics - I can certainly see why.

Reasons why AeroPress coffee tastes so good:

Immersion of coffee grounds in the water results in rapid yet robust extraction of flavor.
Total immersion permits extraction at a moderate temperature, resulting in a smoother brew.
Air pressure shortens filtering time to 20 seconds. This avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing.
The air pressure also gently squeezes the last goodness from the grounds, further enriching the flavor.
Less acidic - due to the lower temperature and short brew time a cup made from Aeropress has less than one fifth that of regular drip brew. The perfect solution possibly for those of us who suffer from gastro-oesophageal reflux but cannot wean ourselves from our morning brew of coffee.

This coffee maker is definitely portable - mine has travelled with me overseas (good coffee is hard to find and rather disappointing!)

The Aeropress coffee maker is also rather versatile - I'm still discovering new things about it - for example, coffee can also be made in the inverted method where the plunger is placed with the rubber facing upwards, the tube fits over it, ground coffee is placed into the cavity and then coffee is brewed in this fashion before placing the filter and cap on and inverting and squeezing the liquid into a cup.

Note the options on check out - either:
1. One year's supply of Micro-filters - 350
2. Two year's supply of Micro-filters - 700 in total! Don't forget to pick up extra filters - you'll be needing them in time!
3. One year's supply of Micro-filters AND Able Fine Disk Stainless Steel Coffee Filter/Disc - resusable and means more oils which would have been picked up by paper filters end up in our cups

Note we also sell these items separately.
